The History of Science Society is the world’s largest association dedicated to the history of science, technology and medicine, and the way they interact, now and in the past. Over 3000 institutes and highly educated people are members.

In 2018 Odette was in Seattle, the United States. Why? Because she took part in the annual meeting of the History of Science Society. Since it was founded in 1924, the society has always held their annual meetings in the US or Canada. In 2019, however, for the first time ever the meeting will be held in Europe, in the city of Utrecht no less!

770 participants from more than 35 different countries participated in sessions in the educational buildings of Utrecht University (Drift 13, 21-27, Janskerkhof 2-3). The evening lectures and receptions took place in the historic buildings in the inner city: the Janschurch, Domkerk & Pandhof and the Railway Museum. 

Together with the Descartes Center, Odette Organises was responsible for all logistical organisation. Odette was a member of the Local Arrangement Team and acted on behalf of her American client.
